Many times, the people who we are caring for may really benefit from a tailored diet, especially if they have certain difficulties eating in some situations. When we offer this service to many of the people that we work with, there are plenty of questions about it. We want to go over some of the common doubts that people express to us regarding this possibility. That way you can get a better sense of whether this option is something that you may be interested in.
Feeding Assistance
Some of the people that we are providing care for are going to require mealtime feeding assistance. That’s certainly one of the key parts of the service that we provide. At least, it is for some people who truly require it. Our staff is trained to be able to handle adverse situations during meal time. It can be a difficult endeavor for family members or anyone else who isn’t accustomed to doing this. Our feeding assistance is meant to make mealtime much safer. It can be a difficult time of the day for people in certain situations.
Are They Cooked On-Site In My House?
This is one of the more common questions that we get surrounding this service. We can provide a full meal preparation plan. When that’s the case, and our staff is living within the home, the meals are going to need to be cooked on-site. If our staff is not on-site every day, then we may be able to explore other preparation options. This may be an issue that concerns you as a potential client. What we recommend is that you give us a call and provide us with a chance to walk you through the different ways that we can adjust the services that we provide.
Who Buys The Groceries?
Another one of the doubts that typically surrounds these services. The answer, in these cases, centers more around who else lives in the house and how often our caregivers are on hand. There are instances where our caregivers will be responsible for bringing food back to the house as part of the service. This means that there’ll be a food budget somewhere in the agreement that we make.
